MP details the government Test and Trace scandal and then offers to resign from Labour front bench

People across the country are being cheated in multiple ways by a government who is literally feeding their friends and donors with billion upon billion of tax payers money.

People are having to travel hundreds of miles to get tested to get back to work and get their children back to school.

This government literally does not care about the British public.

Jonathan Ashworth MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary, responding to reports that the Government is paying huge salaries to management consultants to work on test and trace, said:

“The figures being spent on this broken system are truly shocking.

“Testing and contact tracing is failing to keep the virus under control, which makes it even more disgraceful that such huge sums of money are being spent on something that isn’t fit for purpose.

“It’s vital that we have a short circuit break to fix the failing test and trace system and to ultimately save lives.”

And because he cannot comply with Keir Starmer’s abstention dictum relating to MI5… lawbraking he has offered to resign. There are some decent MP’s in Labour no matter how hard Starmer’s centrist crew is attempting to get rid.
