The Roving Crows

A big crowd is expected on Friday 24th April at Evershot Village Hall, the long-established venue for excellent live music, for the multi-award winning The Roving Crows.

The line-up of fiery fiddle playing, guitar, bass and vocals takes the audience across musical boundaries into the worlds of Folk, Celtic and Country-Rock. The Crows’ powerful live performances saw them in 2014 gain prestigious awards ‘Best Live Act’ (Spiral Earth Music Awards) and ‘Band of the Year’ (Fatea Music Awards), to add to earlier accolades as ‘Top Celtic Rock Band’ and ‘Top Fiddle Player’ (Caitlin Barrett).

The Crows are festival favourites having performed at venues including the Cambridge Folk Festival, the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival, and Arts Centres and Halls up and down the land, without fail getting audiences dancing with abandon and clamouring for more.

The band’s most recent album ‘Deliberate Distractions’ received 4-star reviews and it achieved national airplay on Radio 2, with BBC’s Paul O’Grady commenting “Great party music…I love that band” and Mike Harding describing them as a “Really individual Celtic folk rock group”.

Doors and licensed bar open at 8:15pm, with the band on stage at 8.45pm.

Tickets £10 are on sale at Evershot Stores, the Dorchester, Bridport and Sherborne Tourist Information Centres, and Crewkerne Local Information Centre, at

Bridport Music, and Harmony Music Dorchester and online at www.wegottickets.com If not sold out, tickets will be available on the door but organisers Under One Sun recommend to check on www.underonesun.org.uk or ring 01984 656727.
