Officers investigating a burglary at a home on Portland are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It was reported that a property in Pound Piece was broken into between Friday 23 December 2022 and Monday 2 January 2023 while the address was unoccupied. A large television, games console, cash, two high value jackets and other large clothing were stolen.

Police Constable Joseph Garrard, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area over the festive period, or who has any information that might assist our investigation.

“I would also urge residents in the vicinity with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
