Weymouth College are offering a unique opportunity to the community, to build a kit car, as a personal interest – at a fraction of the cost! If you would like to build a Westfield kit car with the support of others in a fully-equipped industry standard workshop before undertaking your own build, then this is the leisure course for you.

The motor vehicle workshops at Weymouth College have just under gone an extensive re-fit and the workshop now includes 10 ramps and ample state-of-the-art equipment and tools. This is a fantastic learning and working environment in which to construct a Westfield kit car.

People enrolled onto the course will work in a group with 8 other like-minded people to construct a Westfield car from a donor Mazda MX5. There is no qualification attached to this course but the skills and experience gained will be invaluable!

Head of school for construction and engineering, Rex Witts said: “This is an amazing opportunity for members of the community to indulge in a hobby and a great chance to build a car, at a fraction of the cost!”

This course will start on Tuesday 4th December 2012 at 6pm. Thereafter there will be 25 further Tuesday evenings and 6 Saturdays. The Saturday dates will be decided by the group.
