New shows go on sale at Poole Lighthouse

Lighthouse, Poole is pleased to announce the following new shows and screenings on sale this week:

Shakespeare’s Globe: Othello (cert TBC)
Tuesday 5, Saturday 10 October, 7pm, Cinema
An Othello for our times, set in contemporary London Docklands. This critically acclaimed show was filmed live in March and includes interviews with the cast and a behind-the-scene look at the Globe’s Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Purbeck Film Festival: 20,000 Species of Bees (12A)
Tuesday 22 October, 7.30pm, Cinema

One summer in a village house linked to beekeeping a young girl and her mother experience revelations that will change their lives forever. In Spanish with English subtitles.

A young teacher hopes to be transferred to Istanbul after four years of mandatory service in a remote village, but is accused of inappropriate contact by two students. After losing hope, a colleague offers him new perspectives on life. Turkish film with English subtitles.

An actor disappears during the filming of a movie. His body is never found and the police conclude that he has suffered an accident. Many years later, the mystery returns. In Spanish with English subtitles.
