Note to Thangham Debbonaire, Labour’s new Shadow Housing Minister:

Alienating your core vote, defending landlords at the expense of tenants, and expecting people to pay back money, with interest, as we enter the biggest recession for 300 years, while positioning The Labour Party to the right of Joe Biden on housing policy…a man who openly admits to being ideologically opposed to healthcare for all, FFS!, is quite the start!

I will also remind people that just a few weeks ago this same MP demanded, live on air, that the vast majority of Labour Party members must be kicked out of the party. Why? Because they support the EXACT policies the majority of the public support. The kind of people and policies our party WAS LITERALLY FORMED TO REPRESENT & BRING INTO GOVERNMENT. Now, saying those policies are “un Labour” is beyond absurd. Why on earth are you in this role? Why on earth are you even a Labour MP if you openly admit to being opposed to the very reasons the party was formed?! Is this the twilight zone?! This is an embarrassment to the party and so unnecessary.

How on earth is Thangham Debbonaire this ideologically distant to the membership & general population?! I repeat, HOW & WHY is someone like this in this role?! Unless, as many are suggesting, along with the expected stitch-up re the Labour leaks report, this is part of the plan to purge hundreds of thousands of members so the party hierarchy can get it down to a manageable amount to mould as they see fit? A la Blair.
