Officers Appeal for Witnesses as 14-Year-Old Involved in Road Traffic Collision in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses and relevant dashcam footage as they investigate a road traffic collision in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 8.07pm on Tuesday 2 September 2025, of a collision involving a red Renault Clio and a pedestrian on Wimborne Road, near The New Inn pub.

Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and road closures were put in place.

The pedestrian, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life changing or life threatening.

Police Constable Rhianna Sly, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
