Officers investigating a spate of thefts and attempted thefts from cars in Poole are issuing CCTV images of the suspect

Dorset Police received a number of reports of thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles in the area of The Topiary and Parkstone Heights in the early hours of Tuesday 26 November 2019. Two vehicles were broken into, a pair of trainers and a bottle of aftershave were taken from one but nothing is believed to have been stolen from the other.

It was also reported that attempts had been made to break into at least two other cars, with damaged caused to the vehicles.

Sergeant Chris Biggs, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out an investigation to identify who is responsible for these offences and have obtained CCTV footage of a man who was seen to be trying a number of car doors in the area during the early hours of Tuesday 26 November 2019.

“I appreciate the CCTV is of poor quality, but his clothing is quite distinctive and I am hoping this will help someone recognise him. I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55190186608. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
