Officers carrying out searches to locate a missing Weymouth woman are appealing for information from the public to help find her.

April Hopkins, aged 30, was reported missing having left her home address in the Littlemoor area at around 2.40am on Sunday 29 August 2021.

She is described as white, around five feet nine inches tall and of stocky build with short dark brown hair. She was wearing a grey cardigan and possibly black leggings and blue shoes with white soles.

Chief Inspector Neil Wright, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand April has been very upset recently and we are concerned for her welfare. We are carrying out searches in the area and are keen to find her as soon as possible to ensure she is all right.

“I would urge anyone with information as to her whereabouts, or who sees a woman matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

“Finally, I would like to make a direct appeal to April if you see this – please contact us or your family and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure that you are safe.”
