On 20th November at Weymouth Lifeboat Station representatives from Open 4 Business Dorset and Lloyds TSB presented a cheque for £1681.00 to the Weymouth Lifeboat Station / RNLI.

Open 4 Business Dorset has raised over £5000 for local charities over the past 3 years at the annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner. Charities who have benefitted included Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the Dorset County Hospital Mammography Appeal in 2011.  This year Open 4 Business Dorset chose to raise funds for the RNLI – Weymouth Lifeboat.

Julie Cleaver, Managing Director of Open 4 Business Dorset said “The funds were raised at the Open 4 Business Awards evening on 25 October through a simple game of Heads and Tails , our thanks to Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants who supplied bottles of Champagne as prizes and thanks to Lloyds TSB for supporting Open 4 Business once again.”

The Open 4 Business Dorset Festival has now concluded for 2012 but talks and plans are well underway for the 2013 season.
