Oxi to Osborne

Great news! The Greek people have once again shown their opposition to cuts and their refusal to bow down to the undemocratic will of the european financial elites. This sends a clear message to the Euro Creditors that democracy can prevail over blackmail, threats and scaremongering. The Greek people, with an overwhelming landslide at the ballot box, have said, OXI to Austerity!

Across Europe people are rejecting austerity, and the best thing that we can do here in Britain is make sure the Tory government faces the largest opposition possible. George Osborne is planning a further £12bn in cuts to our services. Join us this Wednesday to protest against the emergency budget and say OXI TO OSBORNE!

There is a UK-wide day of actions planned. Find out about a protest near you.

In London the demonstration will be at 5.30pm in Parliament Square. There will be speakers from a range of organisations including striking workers from the national gallery, council and transport workers, and Disabled People Against the Cuts amongst others. There will also be a mass die-in and a release of 1000 black balloons in protest against Ian Duncan-Smith’s shameful refusal to release figures of the number of deaths caused by austerity.
