Pavilion Dance South West presents a thought provoking evening of dance, film, architecture

Renaud Wiser Dance Company bring their thought provoking evening of dance Metropolis & Who Killed Bambi? to Pavilion Dance South West on 12 March.

The performance is a double bill of work:

Metropolis reflects on our complicated relationship with the city. A cast of exceptional dancers builds or scatters a landscape of bricks and constantly redefines borders in their quest for comfort, security and happiness.

In Who killed Bambi? the performers, supported by a local cast, engage in a narrative evoking the natural hunt of a pack of wolves and a strange dinner party where the food is one of the guests. Meant as a critical look at our modern society, the piece takes inspiration from recent political examples of individuals standing against the group and the subsequent hunt to silence them.

“The framework is simple, the detail fascinating, the result gripping.”

Sanjoy Roy, The Guardian

The ‘Thursday Night is Dance Night’ programme continues with a different professional dance company every Thursday at Pavilion Dance until 26 March.
