It is not too late to catch the exhibition of art in abundance by members of Poole & East Dorset Art Society (PEDAS).  Work includes watercolours, oils, pastels, prints, acrylics framed and unframed, and sculpture too. The exhibition is beautifully presented in The Gallery Upstairs, located above the tearooms in Upton Country Park. There is full disabled access and ample parking. If you haven’t been there recently, you really need to go! Attached image is a pastel painting by John Biggs.

The Gallery Upstairs, Upton Country Park, Poole BH17 7BJ is open daily 10.30  am – 5 pm, and the exhibition runs until the 31stOctober.  For details please check www.pedas.org.uk

PEDAS is an active local art society established in 1924 and boasts a number of prestigious past members. Currently, we have around 100 members and welcome artists in all genres. We hold lively workshops for members every Thursday evening at St Aldhelm’s Academy, Herbert Ave, Poole BH12 4HS, and once a month on Sunday afternoons at Lilliput Church Hall.   Visitors are always very welcome – see www.pedas.org.uk for the programme. During the summer months we arrange weekly painting trips to work ‘en plein air’.

Members’ exhibitions are held at least twice a year, usually at The Gallery Upstairs, Upton Country Park, and the club is in the unique position of managing & hiring out this gallery for the benefit of the community. Pedas enjoys regular trips for its members to London exhibitions and sometimes to other European cities.
