Pedestrian with serious injuries following collision in Poole

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate a serious injury road traffic collision in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at around 1.50pm on Tuesday 1 November 2022 of a collision involving a black Citroen C3 and a pedestrian on Shaftesbury Road, at the junction with Denmark Road.

The pedestrian – a woman aged in her 70s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

A 42-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Constable Jonathan Rowland, of the traffic unit, said: “Our investigation into this collision remains ongoing and I am keen to speak to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I appreciate this incident was some time ago, but following further contact with the injured party, we have obtained more information and are now in a position to appeal for information.

“I would also be keen to speak to anyone who may still have dashcam footage relating to the incident.”
