Officers searching for missing Christchurch man Duncan Hewitt are pleased to confirm he has been found.

He had been reported missing in the early hours of Tuesday 7 July 2020 after failing to return home, having left earlier the previous day.

Following searches he was located in the Bournemouth area.

Officers searching for a missing Christchurch man are asking for the public’s help in trying to find him.

Duncan Hewitt, who is 60 years old, left his home at around 2pm on Monday 6 July 2020, but has not returned. He was reported missing at 0.54am on Tuesday 7 July 2020.

He is described as white, five feet eight inches tall and of medium build with grey short hair.

Duncan might be in his car – a white Mitsubishi Outlander with the registration FJ64 HBP.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “When Duncan was last in contact with his family, he sounded very upset. Therefore we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and need to find him urgently.

“I am hoping that somebody may have seen him or his vehicle since he left his home and might be able to assist us finding Duncan.”
