Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after four burglaries in North Dorset.

Between 12pm and 3.50pm on Monday 3 July 2023 a property in Higher Clatcombe was broken into and jewellery, as well as a wallet, was stolen.

Another burglary, also in Higher Clatcombe, was reported at around 11.20pm on Monday 3 July 2023, with watches and jewellery stolen.

A further break-in was reported to have occurred between 11.45am and 3pm on the same day in Fontmell Magna. A quantity of cash was stolen, as well as items of jewellery.

A fourth burglary was reported to Dorset Police at around 12.30pm on Monday 3 July 2023 at a property in Twyford. It is not believed anything was stolen.

The offenders were reported to be wearing light-coloured clothing and dark-coloured baseball caps.

Police Sergeant Natalie Skinner, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into these incidents, which we believe may be linked.

“I would ask anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the rural areas mentioned during the daytime on Monday 3 July 2023 to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to speak to any residents who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or doorbell camera footage.”
