Police Appeal Following Vandalism To Shops And Vehicles In Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV footage to come forward following a reported criminal damage incident in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2.45am on Wednesday 1 January 2025 of criminal damage to two shop doors, four vehicles and a telephone box at the junction of Darbys Lane and Wimborne Road.

Following enquiries, a 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and he has been released on police bail as further investigative work is carried out.

Detective Constable Ryan Higgins, of BCP CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already contacted police.

“I would also urge any businesses or residents in the vicinity who have CCTV systems to please review their footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
