Police cannabis find opens decriminalisation can of worms

Officers from Response attended an address in Weymouth this afternoon.

Whilst at the property officers located some funny looking tomato plants growing in the loft.

One male has been arrested for cultivation of cannabis and remains in police custody.

However, this has lead to many claiming that the police are wasting time and resources when there are much bigger ‘fish’ to fry.

Many supported this comment:

‘So you busted a home consumption grow. Now this guy is likely to be going to dodgy dealers with no idea as to the sh** he’s getting in it. Fentanyl? All sorts of dodgy muck added to make street weed more attractive. You’ve just increased local demand for street sh** .

Congratulations!

In sensible countries like Canada this would be considered a home grow with around 12 plants of different maturity. Instead you get all excited busting someone who could at best have a few smokes a week with friends.

Stupid.’

Some were supportive of the police and many were not.
