Police hunt man following serious assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a reported serious assault in the Kings Park area of Bournemouth are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

At 10.16pm on Tuesday 7 July 2020 Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service that a man aged in his 20s had been assaulted near to the skate park.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head. 

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, including armed officers.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16 from Bournemouth, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Jordan Curtis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “As part of my investigation I have obtained CCTV footage of a man who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have important information that could assist my investigation.

“I would ask this man, or anyone who knows who he is, to please contact Dorset Police.”
