Officers investigating a disturbance in Lyme Regis are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at around 1.20am on Wednesday, 1 January 2025, of an altercation involving up to 20 people, mainly teenagers, in the area of Marine Parade.
It was reported that three people sustained injuries, including a man aged in his 50s who was taken to hospital and treated for fractured ribs and a punctured lung. He has since been discharged.
Police Constable George Harris, of West Dorset police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident as we seek to identify those involved and have already spoken to a number of people in connection with the matter.
“We understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of this disturbance, and I am keen to speak to any witnesses who have not already contacted police.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured any footage of this incident on their mobile phones.”
