Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision near Wimborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Just before 8pm on Friday 18 October 2024, a collision occurred involving a Nissan Juke and a dark-coloured convertible – possible a Volkswagen Beetle or a Mini – at the Lake Gates Roundabout.

The convertible was also involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta in Wimborne Road in Corfe Mullen.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene of both incidents.

A front headlamp from the convertible was left at the scene of one of the collisions.

Police Constable Alex Kimmins, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw either incident, or may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a vehicle matching the one described that is missing a headlight in the vicinity to please come forward.

“Thankfully, no one was injured in either incident. I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would encourage the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop to do the right thing and contact Dorset Police so we can take your account.”
