Officers investigating an assault in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It is reported that at around 3am on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, a man was assaulted by a group of men and woman on Weymouth Beach, sustaining facial injuries that were not believed to be serious.
The group and the victim were not known to each other.
Descriptions were provided for three of those involved – one of the women had black hair and was wearing a black dress and fishnet tights, one of the men had blond hair in a bun and was wearing a Captain America T-shirt, and a second man had a black eye.
Police Sergeant Neil Hawkes, of Dorset Police, said: “We carrying out enquiries into this incident and are appealing to anyone with information about what happened or those involved to please come forward.
“There were other members of the public in the area of the beach and The Esplanade during that time and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to please contact us.”
