Officers searching for a missing man from Portland are appealing to the public for information to help find him.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.50am on Thursday 4 August 2022 raising concern for the welfare of 53-year-old Peter Spurgin, who has last been seen at his address on Saturday 30 July 2022.

Peter is described as white and six feet one inch tall with greying brown hair and a beard.

Inspector Lee Turner, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Peter’s welfare and are keen to find him to make sure he is all right.

“We are carrying out searches and enquiries and I would urge anyone with information with regards to Peter’s whereabouts to please contact us.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Peter if you see this – please make contact with us and let us know where you are as we just want to check you are OK.”
