Police seek next of kin after man from Dorchester dies in DCH

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the next of kin of a man who lived in Dorchester.

John Stephens, who was 86 years old, died at Dorset County Hospital on Tuesday 2 August 2022 following a fall at his home address.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s officer Grace Monro said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious, however, we have not been able to locate any local next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 123900.”
