Officers are appealing for information from the public as they are searching for a missing teenage boy who is believed to be in the Wimborne area.

Spencer Mitchell, who is 15 years old, was reported missing from the Blandford area and was last seen in Crown Mead in Wimborne at around 1pm on Thursday 1 August 2024.

He is described as five feet ten inches tall and of slim build with short, brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms and he was carrying a small, black over-the-shoulder bag.

Sergeant Scott McFarland, of Dorset Police’s Missing Person Support Team, said: “We are concerned for Spencer’s welfare as he has not been home or been in contact with his family for several days now.

“We believe he may have been staying with people who are not aware that he has been reported missing so I am appealing to anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact us.

“I would also like to appeal directly to Spencer should he see this appeal to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are. We just want to ensure you are safe and well.”
