Police very concerned for elderly man missing in Ferndown

Officers are pleased to update that missing man Robin Venner, from Ferndown, has been found.

Robin, aged 96, was reported missing having last been seen on the evening of Thursday 13 July 2023.

Following searches by officers, he has now been found.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers searching for an elderly man who has gone missing in Ferndown are appealing for information from the public.

Robin Venner, aged 96, was reported missing after leaving an address in the area of Wincombe Drive at around 6.45pm on Thursday 13 July 2023.

Robin is described as being of slim build and walks with a stoop. He was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt and brown trousers and wears thin-rimmed glasses.

Inspector Craig Tiernan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Robin’s welfare as we understand he is easily confused and we are keen to locate him to make sure that he is all right.

“Officers are conducting searches in the area and I would urge anyone with information regarding Robin’s whereabouts to please contact us.”
