Officers searching for a missing man in Wimborne are appealing for help and information from the public to find him.

Edward O’Carroll, aged 83, was last seen at around 10.30am on Wednesday 2 October 2024 at Julians Bridge.

He is described as five feet nine inches tall and was last seen wearing a dark green lightweight waterproof jacket, a light blue jumper, either dark grey or blue trousers and brown shoes.

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “Edward has not returned to his home address and has not been in contact with his family, which is out of character for him.

“Officers are carrying out searches in the area in a bid to locate Edward.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen Edward or a man matching the description given to please come forward.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Edward’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 2:374.
