Police very concerned for missing man in North Dorset

Officers searching for missing man Christopher Stone are pleased to confirm he has been found.

The 58-year-old was reported missing having last been seen in Sixpenny Handley on the afternoon of Sunday 14 July 2024.

Following searches by officers, he has now been located.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers searching for a man who has gone missing in Sixpenny Handley are appealing for assistance from the public in an effort to find him.

Christopher Stone, who is 58 years old, was last seen in High Street at around 2.20pm on Sunday 14 July 2024.

He is described as five feet four inches tall, of medium build, with brown/grey hair – bald on top – and facial stubble. He is wearing a pale grey T-shirt, black jogging bottoms, a dark green zip-up fleece or a pink jumper and black and white canvas shoes.

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Christopher’s welfare as it was reported that he was very upset when he left.

“Officers are searching the area, but have not been able to find him yet.

“I am hoping that somebody may have seen Christopher since the last sighting and can help us establish where he might have gone.”
