Officers investigating thefts from two vehicles in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It is reported that at around 10pm on Sunday 15 September 2024 a bicycle was stolen from a Vauxhall Crossland parked in the Travelodge car park in Lifeboat Quay.

The stolen bicycle is described as a white Cube women’s bike with magenta writing on the 56cm frame. The bike had a white Cateye cycling computer attached to the handlebars and a saddle bag containing a silver hand-pump, inner tube and multi-tool.

It was further reported that an orange Stihl chainsaw was also taken from a white Ford Transit tipper parked in the same location.

Police Constable Mark Matthews, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists driving in the area at the time to please check their dashcams to see if they have captured any footage of relevance.

“In addition, I would like to hear from anyone who has witnessed the described items being sold in-person or online in suspicious circumstances.

“Lastly, I would ask members of the public to remain vigilant by making sure they have not left any valuables in their vehicles when leaving them unattended.”
