Poole Family Pay Tribute to Devoted Family Man Who Died In Collision

The family of a man who died in a fatal road traffic collision in East Dorset have released a tribute to him.

We received a report at 6.05pm on Saturday 13 December 2025 of a collision that was believed to involve two vehicles – a black Audi A4 and a blue Volkswagen T-Roc – on the B3078 near to the junction of Lumber Lane in Knowlton.

Emergency services attended and very sadly the drivers of both vehicles – a 24-year-old man from Poole and a 57-year-old man from Poole were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The 57-year-old man from Poole who sadly died has been named by his family as Peter D’Arcy.

His family has paid tribute to him in the following statement: “Dad was 57 years old and taken from us far too soon.

“He leaves behind his three children, Kyle, Lucy and Jack, as well as his partner Tara and her two daughters, whom he loved deeply.

“He was a strong, devoted family man and will be greatly missed, forever loved and always remembered by all who knew him.”

Anyone who has information about the collision or dashcam footage is asked to make contact online via the Dorset Police website or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250183191. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
