Officers investigating a reported indecent exposure incident in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 11.30pm on Thursday 11 August 2022 that a woman was being followed by a man in Ringwood Road in the Newtown area. She reported that the man was exposing himself and performing an indecent act.

Officers attended and as they were carrying out enquiries in the area, they spoke to another woman who reported that she had also seen a man performing an indecent act outside her window.

A local man aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of exposure and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He has been released under investigation as officers continue to conduct enquiries.

Police Constable Charley Dunstan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out further enquiries into this matter and I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.

“I would also ask any residents in the area with doorbell cameras or home CCTV systems, as well as motorists with dashcam who were driving in the vicinity around the relevant time, to please check their footage.”
