At 5.02pm on Tuesday 27 June 2023 Dorset Police received a report that a teenage boy had been assaulted with a knife at Poole bus station.

He was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury.

Following enquiries, a 20-year-old man from Poole has been arrested in relation to the incident.

Detective Inspector Ben Griffin, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances of this incident and at this time there is no information to suggest that further people were involved in this incident.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who has any information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“No weapon has been recovered at this time and I would urge anyone who comes across a knife or bladed article in the area not to touch it and to report it to police immediately.

“Finally, I would like to hear from anybody who was driving in the area around the relevant time and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”

There will be an increased police presence in the area and local officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.
