At around 2.05am on Saturday 13 August 2022 officers spotted a grey Ford Focus reportedly travel through a red light on Lyndsay Road at the junction with Lester Road.

The officers followed the vehicle onto Alder Road and requested for it to stop. It is alleged the driver failed to stop and made off along Herbert Avenue, Dorset Way and onto Holes Bay where it came to a stop.
