A man has been charged and is due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault in Bournemouth.

At 6.12pm on Saturday 18 November 2023, Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service that a man had sustained serious injuries inside a private address in Westover Road.

The man – aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Following enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID, a 30-year-old man from Poole was arrested and he has now been charged with attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
