A man is due to appear in court in connection with an alleged fail-to-stop injury road traffic collision in Portesham near Weymouth.

Dorset Police was called at 11.32am on Sunday 14 August 2022 to reports of a road traffic collision on the B3157 at Goose Hill involving two motorcycles that were travelling westbound toward Abbotsbury.

It is reported that the rider of one of the motorcycles failed to stop at the scene.

The rider of the other motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation by the traffic unit, a 59-year-old man from Poole has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 29 March 2023 for an offence of perverting the course of justice.
