Poole man seriously hurt in collision

Officers are investigating a road traffic collision in Poole and would like witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident, which happened at the junction of Bournemouth Road and Mansfield Road, was reported at 7.05am on Tuesday 22 November 2022.

A VW Polo, driven by a 70-year-old man from Poole, and a Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by a 44-year-old Poole man, collided with each other.

The ambulance service also attended and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police Constable Mark Palmer, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a man who stopped and spoke to one of the two men involved.

“Also, I would urge any motorists with dashcam who were travelling in the area at the time to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
