Officers investigating a serious road traffic collision near Wareham are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident, which happened on Bere Road in Coldharbour near to The Silent Women pub, was reported to police at 7.45pm on Thursday 19 January 2023.

It involved a white Citroen Dispatch van, driven by a local man in his 50s, and a male cyclist from Poole in his 30s.

The cyclist was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken with police to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage that could assist our investigation.”
