Officers investigating the theft of poultry near Sherborne are issuing images of a man they would like to speak to.

Several chickens were stolen from an enclosure at a smallholding in the area of Poyntington at around 6.45pm on Wednesday 8 April 2020.

Following enquiries, officers have obtained images of a man captured on a wildlife camera in the area at the time of the offence and a vehicle, believed to be a black Kia Sportage.

The car left the scene in the direction of Oborne following the incident.

Police Constable Pete Moore, of Sherborne police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and I am now in position to release images of a man we would like to speak to and one of the images also shows the vehicle seen at the scene.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
