The Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce will be supporting the Weymouth Carnival by organising a Pirate Parade led by President Michelle Hind.

The Chamber has been working with accommodation providers in the town to encourage both residents and visitors to get behind the Weymouth Carnival by joining in the parade. It is hoped that accommodation providers will be encouraging all of their guests to join in the fancy dress parade, adults and children are welcome to join the parade.

President of the W&P Chamber, Michelle Hind said  Now is the time to invest in Weymouth & Portland by giving support to the Weymouth Carnival.   The Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting local businesses through its membership across all business sectors.  We recognise the importance of tourism in the town and how by working together we can encourage more businesses to get involved in the Weymouth Carnival Procession.   This project will give businesses the opportunity to build partnerships with new groups, communities and promote working together to raise money for charity and support the carnival which is a traditional and much loved event in the Weymouth calendar.  Please join us.”

If you are interested in taking part please complete the application form which is available as a download on the Chamber website www.wpchamber.co.uk and then meet at the Pavilion Theatre car park at 6pm on Wednesday 19th August dressed in your very best pirate outfit.
