Afraid indeed.
- Afraid to address the Scots on their own soil;
- Afraid to visit the disaster zone that Burrowbridge, Muchelney and other Somerset villages have become;
- Afraid to tell the truth about DEFRA spending on flood defences;
- Afraid to make a statement as to why the government undersold the Royal Mail
Quite the scaredy-cat, in fact.
You say you’ll visit Somerset “when the time is right.” presumably that means when the excess water has finally been drained away and the land is back in production so you can claim to have rushed to the aid of the area in its hour of greatest need, yes? If you had a pair worthy of mention, Prime Minister, you’d have been down their three months ago, instead of sending Golden Rice Paterson for the photo opportunity. Interesting how, as soon as he’s been told a few home truths by the Somerset residents, he suddenly develops a detached retina, isn’t it, so that the Environment Agency’s chief who’s been starved of funding by Paterson has to go and take the flak instead? And meanwhile you, in what has become typical Tory fashion, cower behind your closed-door meeting of COBRA, trying to keep yourself one degree removed from the backlash. You, Prime Minister, are a base craven, nothing more.
Was it your own idea, once you got out of that meeting, to use the backdrop of the Olympic Stadium for your impassioned (read terrified) plea to the Scots to remain in the Union? Do you honestly believe that they, who have been harmed so often and so recently by your own, your Chancellor’s and Psychosmiffy’s policies, are going to believe – for a single minute – that the whole of the English and Welsh public are imploring them to remain with us? We know, just as well as the Scots do, that they’ll be far better off as an independent nation, and they know, probably better than we do, that it is YOUR government that has finally driven them away from wanting anything more to do with Wasteminster. It is YOU and your cronies who will be forever recorded in history as the vandals who smashed the United Kingdom.
Presumably you were ordered by Cuz Liz to get Scotland to remain in the fold, so she can continue to shoot innocent and inoffensive animals at Balmoral. Well, she’s going to need something to spend her extra 20% income for reducing her workload on, isn’t she, and bullets are as good a way of wasting money as any. I’ll tell you something for nowt, prime Minister: You didn’t speak for me when you said that England wants the Scots to remain. My own message to them is “Get the hell out of the evil wreck that Cameron has made of the UK while you can, and the very best of luck to you.”
So, if I wasn’t spoken for by you, it’s a sure bet that there are others out there – probably very, very many others – who take the same view about themselves. Which means that, once again Prime Minister, you have LIED to the British public, and to the Scots in particular, by claiming that we all want them to stay with us in the Union. But, then, your whole term in government has been based upon lies, hasn’t it – from the assurances you gave, pre-election, about the NHS, right through to this latest in a series of exposures of your habitual deceitfulness by the UKSA.
So, now that we’ve established that you are a pathological liar, Prime Minister, why should we, or the Scots, ever believe a word that falls out of your mouth?
