Public appeal in search for man missing from Poole

Update:

Officers searching for missing man Charles Brixey are pleased to confirm he has been located.

Charles, aged 29, had last been seen in the Canford Cliffs area of Poole at around 10.15am yesterday, Friday 28 September 2018.

Following searches by officers with support from the coastguard and DorSAR (Dorset Search and Rescue), he has now been located in the Poole area.

We would like to thank all those who assisted with the search and everyone who shared our appeal.

 

Officers searching for a man who went missing from Poole are appealing for help from the public to find him.

Charles Brixey, aged 29, was last seen in the Canford Cliffs area at around 10.15am today, Friday 28 September 2018.

Charles, who lives in Swanage, is described as white, six feet five inches tall and of slim build with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, grey jeans and black shoes.

Chief Inspector Ernie Henley, of Dorset Police, said: “Charles is understood to have been very upset recently so we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We have been carrying out searches at a number of locations across Purbeck, Poole and Bournemouth and I am appealing to anyone who has information as to Charles’ whereabouts, or who sees a man matching his description, to contact police immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Charles to contact us or your family as we all want to ensure you are safe and well.”
