Update:

Officers searching for a missing Dorchester man are pleased to update that he has been found.

Dorset Police received a report on Friday 18 September 2020 raising concern for the welfare of Jamie Rogers after he failed to turn up for work.

Following searches, Jamie has been located in North Dorset safe and well.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers searching for a missing man from Dorchester are appealing for help from the public to find him.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.50am on Friday 18 September 2020 raising concern for the welfare of 40-year-old Jamie Rogers after he failed to turn up for work.

Jamie was reportedly seen leaving his address in Poundbury Crescent at around 7.55am in his car, a black Volkswagen Golf with the registration FJ09 TBZ.

He is described as white, six feet one inch tall, of medium build with dark hair and is clean shaven. He was wearing a Superdry jacket and blue jeans and has tattoos on his biceps, shoulders and on his right leg.

Chief Inspector Stuart Pitman, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Jamie was upset recently and we are concerned for his welfare.

“We are carrying out searches to try and locate him and I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching a description given, to please contact us immediately. 

“I would also urge members of the public to report any sightings of the vehicle detailed above to please contact police.

“Finally, I want to appeal directly to Jamie if you see this to please contact us or your family so we can make sure you are safe.”
