Public appeal in search for missing Portland teenager

Officers searching for a 16-year-old boy who went missing from his home on Portland are appealing for help from the public to find him.

Samuel White was last seen at his home address in West Wools at around 7.45pm yesterday, Sunday 7 January 2018.

He is described as white, around six feet one inch tall, of medium build with fair hair that is short on the back and sides and quite long on top.

Chief Inspector Robert Chalkley, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Samuel’s welfare as he is believed to be upset and officers have been carrying out a number of searches around Portland in our efforts to locate him.

“I am appealing for anyone with any information as to Samuel’s whereabouts, or who sees a boy matching his description, to contact police immediately.

“I would also urge Samuel if he sees this appeal to contact us or your family immediately as we all want to ensure you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Samuel’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 7:377.
