Public appeal in search for missing Weymouth woman

Officers making enquiries to try and locate a missing Weymouth woman are appealing for help from the public to find her.

Charman Nile, aged 60, was last seen at an address in Kirtleton Avenue at around 3.55pm on Monday 17 May 2021.

She is described as white, five feet five inches tall and of very slim build with greying black hair with a fringe. She was wearing a red coat, black tracksuit bottoms and short wellington boots and was carrying several carrier bags, including one with a cat on it, and a plastic box.

Inspector Matt Chutter, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming concerned for Charman’s welfare and are keen to locate her to ensure she is safe and well.

“The only images we currently have of Chaman are not a recent photos but we are hoping someone may recognise her from the description given or has information as to her whereabouts.

“Finally, I would like to make a plea to Charman if you see this – please make contact with us or your family as we just want to make sure you are all right.”
