Officers searching for a man who has gone missing from Shaftesbury are appealing for the public’s help to find him.

Phillip Poolman, 52, was last seen at his home address in Mampitts Lane at around 1pm on Monday 28 May 2018. He was reported missing on Monday 11 June 2018.

Subsequent enquiries have revealed that he was seen at Shaftesbury Football Club in Coppice Street at 10.45am on Friday 1 June 2018 and again later that evening. A text was sent from his phone to a friend at 9.52am on Saturday 2 June in which he stated he was in Gill – believed to be Gillingham.

Phillip is described as white, five feet 10 inches tall, of medium build and with greying brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and royal blue work trousers.

Searches are continuing in the North Dorset area.

Inspector Neil Wood, of Dorset Police, said: “Phillip has left his clothes and phone charger at home and his disappearance is completely out of character.

“Due to the passage of time since Phillip was last seen we are becoming increasingly concerned for him. I would appeal for anyone who has seen Phillip or a man matching the description given to please contact Dorset Police immediately.

“If Phillip sees this appeal, I would urge him to make contact with us. We just want to know you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Phillip’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 11:93.
