Dorset Police received a report at 3.35pm on Monday 1 March 2021 raising concern for the welfare of 58-year-old William Bowles. He left his home address in Daniel Drive at around 9pm on Sunday 28 February 2021 and has not been seen or heard from since.

William – who is also known as Bill – is described as white, five feet four inches tall and of large build with grey hair and a white beard. He was last seen wearing black trousers with flap pockets, a dark grey zip-up hooded top, shiny black shoes and glasses. William usually carries a woolly hat in his pocket.

Chief Inspector Jamie Clark, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand William has been upset recently and we are very keen to locate him to ensure that he is all right.

“We believe William left his home address on foot and officers are carrying out searches of the local area in a bid to locate him.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please get in touch immediately.

“I am also appealing directly to William if you see this – please make contact with us and let us know where you are as we just want to ensure that you are safe.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Williams’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 1:448.
