North Dorset Green Party (NDGP) have invited local charity Blandford CARES (Calais Aid, Refugees, Europe & Sudan) to offer a public presentation and donation session at their Annual General Meeting on Saturday 22 October 2016 at Woodhouse Gardens Pavillion, Blandford Forum.

The event will kick off with a public donation session from 10:00 – 11:00.If you have anything you’d like to donate to Blandford CARES for the refugees in Calais and beyond (food, clothing, blankets, camping equipment, basic toiletries etc.) please bring it along then. Anyone is welcome to drop in, whether they are members and supporters of NDGP or not.

The official AGM business will take place from 11.00 – 11.30/11.45, and this session is for members only.

Next up will be a talk from Blandford CARES from 11.45. They are a great local grassroots charitable group and we encourage you to come along and find out more. Coordinators Mike and Suzi Hearn will tell us about the work they’ve been doing to support refugees in Calais, across Europe and in Sudan.

The meeting will finish by 1pm at the latest, following a light lunch.
