There will be a public meeting to debate the EU referendum in the Corn Exchange Dorchester Monday 2nd May. Former South West Member of the European Parliament, Glyn Ford, will speak at a public meeting being organised by the Dorchester branch of the Labour party. The meeting is open to everyone – whether for or against, decided or undecided.

The event, at the Corn Exchange, Dorchester High Street, DT11HF, will give voters a first-hand account from someone with a lot of experience of the EU. Glyn Ford wants Britain to remain part of the EU and this is Dorchester voters’ chance to hear why, question him and debate with each other.

Chair of the meeting, and local Labour Party member Anna Killick said ; ‘This is one of the most important political issues many of us will face in our lifetimes. Many people are undecided and often it helps people to decide if they can hear speakers first-hand and listen to what other Dorchester residents have to say.’

Glyn Ford represented the South West as Labour MEP for 25 years and built up particular expertise on EU trade with Asia.

The public meeting will take place on Monday 2nd May at 7 pm.
