Officers are appealing for information from the public following a public order incident in Lyme Regis.

The incident occurred at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday 3 June 2021 in the Cobb Gate car park in Marine Parade.

The victim – who is disabled – drove into the car park behind another car, which parked in the only available disabled space.

The victim asked the driver of the car if they had a disability badge, but the male driver informed the victim he had no intention of moving. The male driver verbally abused the victim before he got into his car and left the car park.

The man is described as of Mediterranean appearance, six feet five inches tall and had a full neck of tattoos and gold teeth. He was wearing a necklace.

Police Constable Michelle Yarrow, of Dorset Police, said: “The victim found the man’s behaviour to be extremely intimidating and we have been carrying out enquiries to identify him, but these have so far proved unsuccessful.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man from the description given to please get in touch as we would like to speak to him and take his account of what happened.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information that may assist my enquiries to please contact Dorset Police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210088249. Alternatively, to stay 100 per cent anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or call freephone 0800 555 111.
