Racist Sought Following Incident In Studland

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a racially aggravated public order offence in Studland.

At around 6.20pm on Tuesday 8 April 2025, it is reported that a woman was racially abused as she waited to catch the chain ferry from Studland to Sandbanks with her son.

Police Constable Aimee Holland, of Dorset Police, said: “We take all reports of hate crime very seriously and have been exploring all lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.

“I would ask anyone who saw what happened – and has not already spoken to police – to please come forward.

“I understand a number of members of the public supported the victim after the incident and I would like to thank them for their assistance.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250049867. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111
